Monroe teen facing drug count

A Monroe County teen is facing a drug charge following a vehicle stop. It was one of three arrests reported by state police at Lehighton.

Troopers said about 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, a vehicle was stopped along Polk Township Road, in Polk Township. Ryan Werle, 18, of Effort, was a passenger in the vehicle. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance and in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He will be charged, troopers said.Troopers also reported on Sunday, Aug. 1, at 10:33 p.m. along Silfes Rd., in Eldred Township, Monroe County, Michael Bryan Morant, 23, of Kunkletown, was involved in an altercation with a 23-year-old female during which he allegedly choked her. He is facing a charge of harassment, troopers said.Troopers said Charles Kick, 48, of Brooklyn, N.Y., is facing a charge of harassment following incidents that occurred on various roadways in Polk Township, on July 20 between 1 and 5 p.m. He is charged with harassing a 13-year-old male from Kunkletown at various times.
