ARC wants to get you connected

Published August 06. 2010 05:00PM

Staples and the American Red Cross are partnering to help ensure a sufficient blood supply for patients in need this August. People who donate will receive a chance to get reconnected.

For the month of August, the American Red Cross Northeastern Pennsylvania Region will be giving away one Acer netbook per week to presenting donors. Everyone who comes in to donate blood with the Red Cross will have the opportunity to enter their name into a weekly raffle for a netbook.

By teaming together, Staples and the Red Cross are helping to boost the blood supply as the summer winds down. Generally a challenging time for blood collection, summer collections are traditionally low due to school breaks, vacations, and hot weather.
