Getz's Transportation owns a two-game lead in the Jim Thorpe Adult Mens' Basketball League.


Eric Buscocker's 30-point performance helped spark Getz's Transportation to a 72-49 victory over Jim Thorpe National Bank.

Getz's Transportation's Louis Ventrella and Denny McGinley chipped in with double figures as both finished with 14 points.

Steve Calcano paced Jim Thorpe National Bank with 15 points, while Pete Scaffelsted followed with 14.

Molly's-MC Pharmacy

Five different players hit doubles figures as Molly Maguires Pub ran away with a 75-58 win over Mauch Chunk Pharmacy.

Josh Hontz and Matt Yaich both hit for 18 points for Molly Maguires Pub, while Brad O'Donnell, Tony Stoeckel and Steve Haldeman all ended up with 12 points.

Mauch Chunk Pharmacy's Kysheem Lynch led all scorers with a game-high 23 points, while Bryan Knepper recorded double digits with 12.

St. Luke's-Highland

St. Luke's Rehabilitation went on a scoring brigade to finish with a 75-52 victory over Highland Beverages.

Ryan Hurley sparked the St. Luke's offensive with a game-high 22 points, while John J. McGinley followed with a 11-point performance.

Brad Hurley, Matt Dunbar and Mark Zaengle paced Highland Beverages as they finished with 14, 13 and 10 respectively.

Molly's-St. Luke's

In a down to the wire contest, it was Molly Maguires that escaped with a 68-64 win over St. Luke's Rehabilitation.

Matt Yaich led Molly Maguires with a 13-point performance, while Josh Hontz netted double figures with 12.

St. Luke's Rehabilitation's John J. McGinley led all scorers with a game-high 21 points, while Don Reis and Dave Govornik recorded 16 and 12 respectively.

Getz's-MC Pharmacy

Getz's Transportation kept up its winning ways with a 69-60 victory over Mauch Chunk Pharmacy.

Getz's Transportation's Eric Busocker had the hot hand ended with a game-high 28 points.

Mauch Chunk Pharmacy's Jason Miller followed right behind with a 23-point performance, while Ian Miller chipped in with 13 points.


High Beverages got the best of a struggling Jim Thorpe National Bank for a 67-54 win.

Sam Lux led Highland Beverage with a team-high 19 points, while Brad Hurley, Derick Reis and Kysheem Lynch finished with 18, 15 and 10 respectively.

Regardless of the setback, Jim Thorpe National Bank's Brandon Lux and Nate Jones both tied for a game-high 20 points. Pete Shafelstad chipped in with 15 points, while Steve Calcano ended up with 14.
