An unknown amount of narcotics were stolen from a Schuylkill County store early today.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said two white males broke into the Midway Supermarket, located at 22 Forest Lane, in Hegins, Hegins Township, about 2:06 a.m. The two used a crowbar to open a door on the restaurant side of the market. Once inside they entered the locked pharmacy using a crowbar and removed the narcotics.

The two attempted to leave the building at the rear when they encountered a store employee. After seeing the employee the two fled the market through the same door they entered.

The two were described as being in their early 20s, wearing black shirts, blue jeans, black masks and gloves. One male had black sneakers and the other was wearing white sneakers.
