Two-vehicle accident, rollover

About 5:30 a.m. today, emergency crews were called to Hometown Hill (SR309) between Tamaqua and Hometown, for a two-vehicle accident involving a rollover. Reportedly, a black Chevrolet suburban, which was stopped while waiting to turn into the new Seitz Brothers Extermination Company lot, was flipped after being impacted from the rear by a black Ford pickup truck driving northbound in the passing lane. The impact also caused the driver, Seitz Bros. employee Jim O'Brian, of the suburban, to be ejected from his vehicle. O'Brian was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The extent of his injuries were unavailable at press time. The driver of the Ford was not immediately identified. Tamaqua Rescue, Hometown Fire Company and fire police and Tamaqua ambulance responded. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
