Tamaqua Police Officers Michael Hobbes and Dwayne Hacker were both on-hand to receive the donation.
The Morrison and Sweeney families recently held their bi-annual music and choral performance called "An Evening With The Morrisons and Sweeneys" at the Tamaqua United Trinity Church of Christ.
The free music event has been held at the church since 2008.
This music event included instrumentals, solos, duets, and dance performances.
This year younger family members performed dances.
More than $750 was raised at this event for the Tamaqua D.A.R.E. program and the Trinity United Church of Christ in Tamaqua.
Officer Hacker stated previously, "Due to government cutbacks, the D.A.R.E. program recently stopped receiving financial aid via government sources and has to gain it's funding via fundraisers and other means."
Christian Morrison, guitar player and Tamaqua Mayor, said, "This event is just another fun way we can give back to the community."
