Rush Township police and fire officials have labeled a fire which leveled a house trailer as "suspicious." The fire was first reported just after 4 p.m. Saturday as a trailer on fire along South Street in the village of Tamanend just south of Quakake. The first to arrive on scene were the township police who stated the structure was already to the ground. Firefighters from Hometown, Quakake, Ryan Township and Delano responded to the scene. The site is in a very remote and wooded area of the township. Authorities said they did not know if the dwelling was occupied or had power.
