Nesquehoning arrests reported

Nesquehoning police reported on the following arrests made by officers in recent days.

Chief Sean Smith obtained a felony warrant for retail theft on Peggy Hill, 173 W. Ridge St., Apt. 3, Lansford. On Oct. 22 Hill was caught stealing from Redner's Warehouse Market, police allege.Officer Timothy Wuttke filed a summary charge of retail theft against Carol Nickerson, 220 N. Walnut St., Summit Hill, for a Nov. 3 incident at Redner's. She was allegedly caught stealing a total of $9.21 in merchandise from the store.Officer Wuttke filed a charge of driving under suspension-DUI related against Jason Allen Rao, 3 W. Water St., Lansford, following an incident on Oct. 3 at 1:10 p.m. along SR209 in the area of the Dollar General store.Officer Ron Peck filed charges of retail theft against a mother and son. On Sept. 4 Andrette Haupt and her son, Charles Haupt, both of 11 N. Walnut ST., Lansford, were observed allegedly stealing merchandise from Redner's. Two summary citations were filed and criminal charges are pending, police said.Officer Peck filed a summary charge of harassment against James Giannone, 740 E. Main St., Weatherly. Police allege that Giannone harassed Frederick Oleck, 758 E. Main st., Weatherly, in Redner's on Oct. 5.On Nov. 3 about 10:10 p.m. Officer Robert Blisard conducted a traffic stop along SR209 in the area of the 500 block of E. Catawissa St. As a result of the stop traffic citations were filed against Myles Sanders, 1 Weslyn Drive, Glenn Cove, N.J. He is charged with driving without a valid license, careless driving, no passing zone, and required financial responsibility.Blisard, as code enforcement officer, filed a summary charge against Michael Christman, 68 W. Center St., Nesquehoning, for delinquent sanitation bill. It is alleged that Christman owes the borough $187.80.Officer Carl Breiner filed a summary charge of driving an unregistered vehicle against Derek Teay, 1320 Adams St., Northampton. The incident occurred about 12:40 a.m. on Oct. 31 along SR209 at SR93.
