Winners announced for annual Palmerton Library bookmark contest

Sixty entries were received in the annual bookmark contest held by the Palmerton Area Library.

Librarian Diane Danielson said all schools in the district plus preschoolers and homeschoolers wer invited to participate.

The winning bookmarks are printed and handed out throughout the year.

Winners, beginning with first place, are: Preschool and kindergarten - Valerie Solt from Parkside Elementary, Emma Martinez from Charlie Brown preschool and Kierra Pfaff from Towamensing Elementary.

Grades 1-3 - Michael Noyola from Parkside Elementary, Chole Schaffer from S.S. Palmerton Elementary and Madison Martinez from St. John Neumann. Grades 4-6 - Alyssa Olewine from Towamensing Elementary, Taylor Scherer from S.S. Palmerton Elementary and Emel Rasim from S.S. Palmer.
