Theft of purse from vehicle is probed

Tamaqua police are investigating the theft of a purse, removed from a 1997 Ford Mustang sometime Saturday morning.

Ronald Moll, of 227 Center St., Tamaqua, contacted police at 11 a.m. to report that his daughter's car had been broken into and a purse removed. The vehicle was parked near the Moll home and the theft occurred sometime between midnight and 10 a.m.

Entry was made through a smashed window.

Police ask anyone with information concerning this incident to call them at (570) 668-5000.
