Two drivers facing DUI after crashes

Two drivers involved in crashes over the past weekend are facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI).

State police at Lehighton said a crash occurred about 11:51 p.m. on Friday, April 16, along Hahn's Dairy Road, in the area of Serfass Lane, in Lower Towamensing Townwship, Carbon County. Troopers said James L. Dubois, 59, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1997 Ford 150 pickup truck when it was involved in a crash. Dobois was found to be under the influence and transported to the Palmerton Hospital for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results.Troopers were assisted at the scene by Palmerton ambulance personnnel and volunteers from the Aquashicola Fire Company.On Saturday, April 17, about 8:15 p.m. troopers said Brian David Roth, 26, of Bethlehem, was involved in a rollover type crash along Kunkletown Road, near Mt. Eaton Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Roth showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending the test results, troopers added.
