PV Middle School students cited

Three youths who attend the Panther Valley Middle School, Rt. 209, Summit Hill, have been arrested by borough polilce following an altercation at the school on Feb. 16.

Police Chief Joseph Fittos Jr. said police were called there after a 13-year-old boy from Nesquehoning shoved a 13-year-old boy from Summit Hill numerous times, allegedly hitting the boy's head off the wall.Police said the victim then exited the school, where he was shoved into a snow bank by a 13-year-old boy from Coaldale and a 15-year-old boy from Nesquehoning.Police said the 13-year-old boy from Nesquehoning has been arrested on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Those charges will be processed through the Carbon County Juvenile Court.The 13-year-old boy from Coaldale and the 15-year-old boy from Nesquehoning have been charged with summary offenses of harassment, Fittos said.
