Terrance McCall, the 19-year-old youngest son of Emmett P. and Mary Ellen McCall, Lansford, received a kidney transplant in a five-hour operation in Philadelphia's University of Pennsylvania Hospital. The new kidney was donated by his 50-year-old father. The operation climaxed nearly a year of speculation and anxiety for the family, ever since Terry, a diabetic, experienced kidney failure. He had been on dialysis for most of that period.
