Two persons were arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Route 940 in Tobyhanna Township by Pocono Regional Police on April 7.

Officers identified the driver as Kayla Brooke Green, 21, of Jim Thorpe, and the passenger as James Perry Jr. of Pocono Manor.While speaking with the occupants after the stop on a vehicle code violation, officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search revealed two plastic bags containing marijuana, marijuana cigarettes and drug paraphernalia.Charges were to be filed through Judge Claypool's office.
