The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corp is presently conducting its 2010/2011 subscription drive. The subscription is for unlimited emergency transports along with paramedic services provided by Lehighton Ambulance Association.

Subscription is for anyone 18 years or older. Family members under the age of 18 and residing in the same household as the subscriber will be covered for out of pocket expenses.If you reside in the borough of Nesquehoning you should have received a subscription packet in the mail. If not, contact the ambulance station at (570) 669-6684 and leave a message.A subscription is not the same as a donation. With a subscription you are covered for out of pocket expenses above what your insurance pays on emergency ambulance transports.Most Insurance co-pays and deductibles are significantly higher on emergency ambulance transports. If the subscriber does not have medical insurance coverage, the entire cost of the service will be covered. The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corp does not provide inter-facility transports or transports home from facilities.The Nesquehoning Ambulance Corp is strictly a volunteer organization providing emergency medical services to the community. With over 500 calls responded to over the past year and with only a handful of volunteers, it needs the community's help in order for this service to continue.Daytime ambulance calls have been answered with the help of KME employee. The remainder of the call volume is answered by community residents, who give up their time to help. If anyone is interested in volunteering, feel free to contact the station.
