www.dcnr.state.pa.us under Tuscarora State Park calendar of events.New hikeA new hike with Tuscarora State Park naturalist Robin Tracey and "Big Owl" McSurdy is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m.Meet at the Terry Reilly Park on the Gordon Nagle Trail near Sheetz.For directions, contact the park office at (570) 467-2404 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.This hike is three miles in length and moderate in difficulty. Bring a bag lunch. Pre-registration is required.Somethingfor Everyone hikeJoin Tuscarora State Park Naturalist Robin Tracey and "Big Owl" McSurdy for a Something for Everyone hike on Sept. 19, at 1:30 p.m.Meet at the Foster Township Building, located off of Interstate 81 on Route 901 in Buck Run (Schuylkill County). A carpool to the trail will then take place.For directions, contact the park office at the aforementioned number Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.This hike is three miles in length and moderate in difficulty. Shine only. Pre-registration is required.The hike is dog friendly, but all pets must be leashed and get along well with people and other pets.Tuscarora LakeView Trail hikeNaturalist Robin Tracey will host a hike on the Crow and Lake View trails on Sunday, Sept. 20, at 9:30 a.m. The hike is five-and-a-half miles in length and moderate in difficulty. The trails meander through evergreens, old farmsteads, and laurel.Meet in the Crow Trail parking lot off of Tuscarora Mountain Road. Shine only. Pre-registration is required.
