Burglaries probed in Schuylkill County

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating burglaries at three locations in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Uniform Center, located along SR183, was entered when criminals pried open a rear door. They went to the cash register and removed $150. They then went to an office area where $100 in changed was taken from a cabinet. The incident occurred sometime between 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The second break-in occurred at Dino's Pizza, located along SR183. A rear door was pried open to gain entry. Once inside the criminals pried open a drawer and took $300. They then took a key located in the drawer and opened the cash register and removed $100. The incident occurred sometime between 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

The third entry occurred at Bob's Pools, located at 1402 Long Run Road. Entry was gained by prying open a garage door located to the rear. The criminals then took two cash drawers and a money envelope which contained about $710. Troopers said the criminals attempted to gain access to a storage area within the store by prying open a door. The incident occurred sometime betwen 6 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
