Luzerne driver facing DUI count

A Luzerne County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following a three-vehicle crash.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were dispatched to the crash at 3:25 a.m. Saturday along Route 115 at Thomas Road in Tobyhanna Township.

A vehicle traveling south on 115 rear-ended a vehicle in front of it which had slowed down for a deer on the road. After initial impact a third vehicle then struck one of the other vehicles. Several minor injuries were reported and police were assisted by Tobyhanna Township Fire Company volunteers and the Pocono Regional ambulance unit.

The driver causing the crash, John Isaac, 35, of Bear Creek Township, was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI, police said. Charges are pending.
