The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists traveling on the Northeastern Extension (I-476) that the Lehigh Tunnel will be closed to southbound traffic for three nights: October 25, 26 and 27 from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. for tunnel maintenance.

All traffic will be directed to the northbound tunnel.

The work is weather sensitive and may be delayed or rescheduled. Travel advisories will be posted on the website at or and the Highway Advisory Radio (1640 am) will be activated to provide travel updates.

Speed limits will be enforced and fines increased.
