Troopers probing Schuylkill crash

State police at Frackville reported they are still investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday evening east of Tamaqua and involved a driver from Summit Hill. A photo and story concerning the accident appeared on page 5 of Thursday's edition of the TIMES NEWS.

In a public information release troopers said Timothy Kleinhagen, 43, was driving 2009 Suzuki Grand Vitara eastbound when, for unknown reasons, crossed into the opposite lane of travel and left the roadway. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment about 20 feet and struck a tree.

The accident was a mile east of Tamaqua in Schuylkill Township and occurred about 9:50 p.m., troopers said. Kleinhagen was taken to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, for treatment of injuries.
