Ashley Jo Balliet marries Richard S. Mattrazzo

Ashley Jo Balliet, daughter of Donna Balliet, Palmerton, and James Balliet, Lehighton, became the bride of Richard Stephen Mattrazzo, son of Carol Mattrazzo, Summit Hill and Warren Mattrazzo, Saylorsburg, on May 16, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Summit Hill. The Rev. James Burdess officiated at the double ring ceremony. Sally Derby was the organist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Drewann Eckman, Lehighton as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Angela Burke, Drexel Hill, Sarah Devitt, Lehighton, Melissa Mattrazzo, Nesquehoning, Kristin Schnell, Lehighton and Danielle Watts, Lehighton.The bridegroom chose his brother, Michael Mattrazzo, Nesquehoning, to serve as the best man. Ushers included Kyle Balliet, Palmerton; Grant Burke, Drexel Hill; Timothy Charters, Emmaus; Craig Sommers, Lansford; and Steve Sommers, Clarksville, Tenn.Following the ceremony the couple greeted family and friends at a reception at Blue Mountain Ski Lodge in Palmerton.Prenuptial parties included a bridal shower, hosted by family and friends at Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club.The new Mrs. Mattrazzo is a 2005 graduate of Lehighton Area High School. She also attended Bloomsburg University. She is employed by Wachovia Bank.Mr. Mattrazzo is a 1999 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 2001 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology. He is the owner of Mattrazzo Custom Carpentry, LLC.The newlyweds currently reside in Allentown.
