PAC meeting

The next Pleasant Valley Intermediate School PAC meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 26 at 1:15 p.m. Any parent of a PVI student interested in becoming a PAC member for the 2009-2010 school year, should call the PVI office at (570) 402-1000 ext. 3003. Your interest and involvement would be greatly appreciated.

PVI PTO news

Keep sending in those Mr. Z's/Weis and Kinsley/Shoprite receipts.

Meet your friends night

PVI is hosting a 6th grade Meet Your Friends night on Friday, Oct 23 from 3:45-6 p.m. Refreshments are available. All children must be picked up by six o'clock. Parent involvement is needed to host this event and other future events.

Free car seat inspection

The Pleasant Valley Transportation Department will sponsor a free Car Seat Inspection Program on Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Polk Elementary School on Route 209 in Kresgeville. For additional information: (570) 402-1000, Ext. 1291.

Halloween celebration

Pleasant Valley Elementary will be participating in a schoolwide fall celebration on Friday, Oct. 30. Students in kindergarten through fourth grade will have the opportunity to dress in costumes and participate in organized classroom activities. They will not be parading outside for parents. If you prefer that your child not participate in these activities, please send a note to your child's teacher by Monday, Oct. 26. Alternative activities will be provided, thereby avoiding an unexcused absence.

Daylight-saving time

Don't forget to turn your clock back one hour on Sunday, Nov. 1.
