Jewelry, cash taken in burglary

Jewelry and cash was reported stolen in Schuylkill Count burglary.

State police at Frackville said the home of Gail H. Rentschler, 51, of 485 Buck Mountain Rd., North Union Township, was entered sometime between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19. Entry was gained by kicking open a second story door, troopers said.

Removed was about $1,850 worth of jewelry from the victim's bedroom. Also removed was two large containers filled with assorted U.S. currency. It is estimated about $300 in currency was in each container.
