Three vehicle crash probed in Monroe

Pocono Mountain Regional police investigated a three vehicle, rear-end type crash about 10:11 .am. on Oct. 15 along SR196, in front of the Domino's Pizza shop in Mt. Pocono.

Police said a vehicle operated by Thomas Rist Jr., 18, of Tobyhanna, ran into the rear of a vehicle driven by Harry Stoffers, 43, of Stroudsburg, which was pushed into the rear of a car driven by Judith Capotorto, 50, of Tobyhanna.

Stoffers complained of pain and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment. The other two drivers were not injured. Rist's and Stoffers' vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Police said Rist will be cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
