Lansford Alive announces Halloween parade

Lansford Alive will host the fifth annual Panther Valley Pumpkin Parade and Children's Party on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 3:30 p.m. in Lansford. Rain date will be Sunday, Oct. 25.

Children who would like to march in the third division of the parade, wearing their favorite costume must register the day of the event in person, between 1:30 and 2:45 p.m. at the west end of the Panther Valley Football Stadium. Parents are encouraged to march with their children; wagons and strollers are welcomed.

There will be judging of children's costumes promptly at 3 p.m. at the stadium and trophies will be presented at the end of the parade at the children's party.

After the parade, it is time for candy, hay rides, pumpkin decorating, and music on Ridge Street.

Any interested groups that wish to participate in the parade please call (570) 645-4455 to obtain a registration form.
