A different type of theft incident is being investigated at a Carbon County ski area.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred at the Blue Mountain Ski Area in Lower Towamensing Township and didn't involve skis or snowboard, since it is currently the off season for the resort.

According to troopers someone removed seven, 100-foot heavy conductor cables (64 SO cord) from outside a warehouse at the uppler lodge area. The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 1 and Monday, Oct. 5.

No value was listed for the stolen cable.
