Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Hartman of Aquashicola recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married Aug. 6, 1949 at the Evangelical Congregational Church in Palmerton by the Reverends Oswald and Ditterline.The couple marked the occasion with a family dinner at The Inn of William Stoddard, Stemlersville.Mrs. Hartman is the former Betty Graver, daughter of Clara and Howard Graver, Aquashicola.She is retired from The First National Bank of Palmerton, after 18 years of service.Mr. Hartman is the son of the former Lillian and Charles Hartman, Lehighton. He is retired after 33 years from Colonial (Chubb) Life Insurance Company. He is a substitute driver for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit.They have two children, a son Timothy and his wife Angela, Charlotte, N.C.; and a daughter Eileen and her husband James, Palmerton.They have four grandchildren: Corrine, Andrew, Justin and Derek, who is deceased. They also have two great-grandchildren: Christopher and Grace.
