A theft of a truck transmission is being probed.

State police at Lehighton said Randy G. Ahner Jr., 26, of Palmerton, reported the transmission from a 1997 Dodge truck that was parked on a lot at George's Plumbing and Heating, Little Gap Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, was stolen sometime between 9:30 and 11 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23. Troopers said the transmission did not work and had an estimated value of $10.
