Breakfast scheduled for business, education leaders
The Carbon County Business/Education Partnership will hold a Kick-Off breakfast for business and education leaders from 8-9:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Blue Ridge Country Club, 2230 Fireline Road, Palmerton.

The event, offered free of charge, is aimed at helping people to educate the future Carbon County workforce, becoming community leaders in econmic development and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.
The breakfast will offer an opportunity for networking from 8-8:30 a.m., followed by a welcome from Dawn Ferrante, Director of the Carbon County Economic Development Department.
Speakers include Dr. Bob Runkle, Executive Director of the Berks Business Education Coalition; Dr. Ed Lyba, Executive Director of Partners in Education; George Hayden, Vice President of Hayden Electric in Carbon County.
The breakfast will also include a Business Education Partnership Overview and Call to Action by Cyndi Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Carbon County Business/Education Partnership.
