Motorist escapes serious injury

A young man escaped serious injury Monday after being involved in a one car crash along route 443 in Mahoning township. The crash occurred as the driver was operating his car west at the intersection with Clinic Road. For some unknown reason the car left the right berm impacting and snapping off a utility pole. The car continued on for several hundred feet before coming to rest on a lawn. Responding was the Mahoning Valley fire company and Mahoning Valley ambulance.
