Several persons were injured Saturday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash along SR54 in Nesquehoning. The crash occurred just after 3 p.m. in what is known as the "S curve" near Tippits Road. It appeared a pickup truck was traveling west and for some unknown reason crossed the center line striking a car then a sport utility vehicle. The truck continued on traveling west in the eastbound lane before coming to rest along the south berm against an earth embankment. The injured were treated at the scene by members of the Nesquehoning and Lansford ambulances and the Lehighton paramedics. Responding were the Nesquehoning and Hauto Fire companies. Nesquehoning police are investigating the crash.
