Second row, Nycole Everett, Caileigh Landrigan, Jenn Groller and Ashley Gimbel. Back row, head coach Chris Deutsch, Sara Jones, Natalie Hill, Kaleen Suter and assistant coach Billy Hallman.

With the loss of six graduating seniors who were all key players last year, Northwestern's girls basketball team will have a different look this season.

Only one player, senior Natalie Hill, returns with significant varsity experience. She will lead a team made up mostly of players that played on JV or freshman teams last year.

Former Tamaqua boys basketball players are being sought to play in an alumni game sometime over the Christmas holidays.

Alumni are also invited to attend the Jan. 2 home game with Salisbury during which the Tamaqua Boys Basketball Boosters will dedicate a newly purchased banner honoring 1,000-point scorers. Guests of honor will be those players whose names appear on the banner.
