A monthly soup kitchen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tamaqua begins its sixth year in February. The first for 2017 was held Saturday, and besides serving vegetable soup and chicken noodle soup, it also offered pizza and a variety of desserts. The meals are free and offered the first Saturday of every month.
