From the two-horse-power Leiby's Wagon to the 455 horse power engine under the hood of a 1970 candy apple GTO, many modes of transportation were on display during Tamaqua's Summerfest celebration Sunday.

One mode of transportation vital to the history of the region was the showpiece of the day the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern train which toted passengers to New Ringgold or the historic High Bridge area. The excursions were part of the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, which is part of Reading Blue Mountain and Northern.Venders lined Broad Street and side streets, selling everything from custom-made jewelry and hand-painted glassware to funnel cakes and pork barbecue.
