BOYS BASKETBALL

Lehighton-Catasauqua

Catasauqua outscored Lehighton in all four quarters, en route to a 54-33 non-league victory over the Indians. The win was the 300th career victory for Rough Riders head coach Eric Snyder.

Dakota Schiffer and Davey Wetherhold both scored 13 points apiece to pace Catasauqua (7-5), while Kevin Bond added 10 points in the winning effort.

For Lehighton (7-5), Vince Mele led the way with a 10-point performance.

Pine Grove outscored Tamaqua 20-6 in the first quarter and the rest was history, as the Cardinals went home with a 43-18 Schuylkill League Division I victory over the host Raiders.

Pine Grove's Becky Evans scored over half of her team's points with a 22-point effort, including three three-pointers. Morgan Edge added 10 points for the Cardinals (6-6).

Baily Wehr (106) and Daulton Webster (126) both recorded pinfalls for the Tigers, while Quentin Bernhard posted a 15-1 major decision at 113.

In the junior high match, Northwestern came away with a 64-31 victory.
