State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a bicycle and a criminal mischief incident that occurred at two separate Schuylkill County locations.

Troopers said unknown criminals crawled over a chain link fence at the residence of Robert Bressler Jr., 54, of 34 Kimber St., New Philadelphia, and into the backyard area where they stole a white 16-speed Mongoose Estes adult bicycle from a rear porch. The theft occurred sometime between Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 13.Stephanie Marie Heckman, 31, of 323 E. Main St., Girardville, reported someone smashed the windshield and slashed the front driver's side tire on her 1994 Chervolet van while it was parked in front of her home. The incident occurred sometime between 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, and 11:30 a.m. on Monday.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
