Michele Lynn Zanders of Lehighton and Richard James Brown of Effort have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Kathy Zanders of Lehighton. She is a 2007 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.She earned an associate degree in business management from Lehigh Carbon Community College.She is currently employed by First Northern Bank & Trust in Egypt, Pa.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Rich and Karen Brown of Effort.He is a 2003 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and MCTI, where he studied electrical construction.He is currently employed by Innovative Control Systems in Wind Gap.A wedding is being planned for spring of 2015.
