Bowmanstown Mayor William Ravert has declared that Bowmanstown will be in snow emergency for the next week unless extended or rescinded by borough council.

Streets affected by the proclamation are (snow emergency routes):

* Lime Street to Ore Street, right turn on Ore Street to Mill Street, left on Mill Street to White Street.

* Lime Street to Ore Street to Fireline Road.

* Craig Street

* Lincoln Avenue

* Cedar Street

During the snow emergency, no cars should park on the snow emergency route until there are signs permitting parking.

Also no one without chains or snow tires should drive on the emergency route. No stalled cars will be permitted to remain on the snow route.

Any cars that are parked, stalled or incapable of moving or left unattended will be towed away by order of the mayor.

No one should throw snow snow from walks or driveways into the streets.
