Mr. and Mrs. James Neff and six children, whose home at 454 North Second St. Lehighton, was destroyed by fire late Saturday night, are residing with Mrs. Neff's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Stuckley, North Second Street, Lehighton.
The Neff family was attending the Palmerton Hospital Festival when the fire in their home was discovered by neighbors. Fire Chief Corvin Solt said when the fire alarm was sounded the flames were in the kitchen of the home in which a coal stove was located. The flames burned up a wall into the second floor bedroom into the roof. Firemen were not able to remove any furnishings from the burning house.
The children of the Neff family range in age from 6 to 14 years of age.
