Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Frey Sr. of Lehighton recently marked their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 5, 1953 at St. Peter's Church, Mantzville by the Rev. Warren Ritter and the Rev. Arthur P. Snyder.

The former Helen J. Jones is the daughter of the late Chester and Edna (Sterling) Jones. She was a school bus #13 driver for the Lehighton area for 32 years.Her husband is the son of the late Russell and Verna Snyder Frey of Tamaqua. He was employed by New England Motor Freight, the former Interstate Dress Carriers, Lehighton.The couple has three children: Woodrow Jr., married to the former Robin Wehr, Lehighton; Deborah, married to John Haupt, Greencastle; and Jessica, married to Jeffrey Frohnheiser, Parryville.They have eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Jay and Rob Frey; Jason, Nathan and Alison Haupt; and Chelsea and Avery Frohnheiser. They also have 10 great-grandchildren.A family gathering was held in their honor on Sept. 1. The couple also celebrated with a trip to Orlando, given to them by their children.
