Two stabbing incidents following domestic disputes have resulted in the jailing of two suspects. Walnutport police reported the two incidents occurred over the past Labor Day weekend.
On Sunday, Sept. 1, police were called to 647 Washington St., about 1:55 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute. On scene police determined a stabbing had occurred and the male victim was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH), Salisbury Township, for treatment of his wounds.
After an investigation, police arrested Jane Kieffer, 51, of that address, and charged her with aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment. She was arraigned at the Northampton County Central Booking Center by District Judge Patricia Romig-Passsaro, and committed to the county prison after failing to post bail.
On Monday, Sept. 2, at 5:20 p.m. police were dispatched to 342 Kiddie Lane for another domestic dispute. On scene police learned that the victim, another male, had been stabbed and was transported to the LVH for treatment.
As a result of an investigation police charged Jennifer Marie Jaegel, 32, of that address with aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment. She was also arraigned at the booking center by JD Romig-Passaro, and committed to the county prison after failing to post bail.
