State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.
A two-vehicle crash was reported on Aug. 29 about 6:13 p.m. along SR895 in Washington Township. Troopers said Aaron Abercrombie, 18, of Pine Grove, was operating a 2005 Yamaha motorcycle westbound when he crossed the double yellow line entering the eastbound lane of travel.
Abercrombie lost control and turned the bike onto its right side where the rear tire then impacted the front driver's side of a 2007 Subaru Outback driven by Raymond Broy, 68, of Lebanon, who was eastbound.
Abercrombie was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center (SMC)-E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville, for treatment of a moderate injury, troopers said. Broy and his passenger, Eva Broy, 65, same address, were not injured.
Troopers said Abercrombie will be cited for the crash.
A three-vehicle crash occurred about 4:02 p.m. on Aug. 30 along SR443 in North Manheim Township, near Guildin Street.
Troopers said Filippo Valenti, 86, of Pottsville, operating a 2009 Toyota Camry, was pulling out from a parking lot of a local business and pulled into the path of a 1990 Buick driven by Carol A. Greenawalt, 68, of Friedensburg, who was eastbound. After impact the Buick continued east about 130 feet into the parking lot where it struck a parked 2002 Dodge Ram truck on the front driver's side.
After impact the Camry rotated clockwise and traveled off the north side of the road striking an embankment with its rear bumper, then back onto the road and coming to rest blocking both lanes of travel.
Valenti, his passenger, Vita Valenti, 72, same address, and Greenawalt, all were injured and taken to the SMC-S. Jackson Street, Pottsville. All three vehicles had to be towed.
Troopers said Valenti was cited.
A one-vehicle crash occurred about 5:35 p.m. on Aug. 31 along SR61 in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Brian L. Love Sr., 34, of Tower City, was driving a 1997 Ford F150 truck southbound in a construction zone when, for unknown reasons, he struck both sides of the jersey barriers within the zone. Troopers said Love stopped the vehicle and left the scene. The truck was eventually placed into neutral and drifted down the hill area onto Rolling Mill Road.
Love eventually returned to the scene, troopers said. The vehicle was towed.
Love was cited for stopping, standing, and parking and causing traffic to stop.
