New Philadelphia Halloween parade

Hundreds of anxious onlookers filled the main streets of New Philadelphia on Sunday to watch the town's 19th annual Halloween Parade. The parade, organized every year by the New Philadelphia Community Organization, included many creative costumes, bands and and a wide array of theme floats. All marchers and floats were judged for three places in eight categories. New Philadelphia Mayor and NPCO President Francis "Frani" Tkach said the parades get better every year. All participants were treated to free food and refreshments at the fire company afterwards. She also gave credit to the volunteers, police department and participating fire companies.
