Michael J. Atkinson, 23, of Nesquehoning, is facing charges following an Oct. 5 incident in Rush Township.

Township police said Atkinson allegedly stole $15 worth of merchandise from the Game Stop Store in the Hometown Commons Shopping Center. The incident reportedly took place at 3:15 p.m.Atkinson will be charged with retail theft, possession of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.While police were investigating they discovered several bloody napkins and a needle on the ground next to Atkinson's car. A passenger in the vehicle, Michelle Canzoneri, 27, of Nesquehoning, will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
