An Old Fashioned Hay Ride and Fall Fest will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Weissport Park and Lehigh Canal Park in Weissport.

The event will include free tractor-drawn hayrides along the historic canal, tractor show, crafters, pumpkin patch, free Trick or Treats in the park, canal artifacts, homemade food and children's activities, including make your own scare crow. This festival will cater to seniors, elderly individuals and people with disabilities, and there will be attendants to assist those in need on and off the wagons.

Families of all ages are welcome to attend.

Hay rides will take place every 20 minutes, from throughout the day, and give everyone the opportunity to see the historic Lehigh Canal Park during the height of the fall foliage experience.

Children's activities will include a "train ride" in the park for little ones and a bounce house. Table service with homemade food will be provided to accommodate seniors and people with disabilities.

Reservations are encouraged for groups of 10 or more. To make a group reservation or for more information, call (610) 377-5559.

The event is being sponsored by L-TNT Pyrotechs Inc., Walnutport, which is providing the tractors, transportation and drivers; Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission, which is opening the park gates and welcoming all to this event; and the Beltzville Lions Club, the event organizers.
