The West End Democratic Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company. This is open to the public.Halloween paradeThe Eldred Township Halloween Parade will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday. All preregistered participants must be in St. Matthew's UCC picnic grove between 11 a.m. and noon.Judging will begin at 12:15 p.m. The parade will start promptly at 1 p.m. If you are not preregistered, you are still welcome to march in the parade in costume. Spectators are encouraged to view the parade along the route, which will be along Church Road, Fiddletown Road and Kunkletown Road to the firehouse.The rain date is Oct. 26.Trunk or TreatSt. Matthew's UCC will hold a community Trunk or Treat event from 3-5 p.m. Oct. 25 in front of the church.Bring the kids dressed in costume for treats. There will also be pumpkin painting, face painting and treats.Exercising seniorsThere is a low-impact exercise class for those over 55 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Company.
