The Coalcracker Chorus will be the musical guest at the third annual Tamaqua Community Advent Breakfast at 8:30 a.m., Dec. 7. The chorus is directed by Richard Clemson and features members from Tamaqua and the surrounding area.

The breakfast will be hosted again by Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and is sponsored by the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce, the Tamaqua Area Partnership and the Tamaqua Area Faith Fellowship Network. TAFFN is an organization of lay leaders from Tamaqua congregations formed to promote understanding and cooperation among groups doing God's work in the community.

In addition to seasonal music, the program features breakfast by the Zion Culinary Crew, an Advent message by the Rev. Kevin Roberts of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Tamaqua, and a candle lighting ceremony. Luminaria kits will be available at the breakfast.

Tamaqua's Advent Breakfast is modeled after a similar event in Bethlehem, which observes its 47th anniversary this year.

Tickets are available through TAFFN members, church offices and the chamber office at 114 W. Broad St. No tickets will be sold at the door.
