Sterling and Barbara Frable Weaver celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 12 in Boone, N.C.

Sterling was born in Lehighton, and Barbara was born in Big Creek.Mary Jean Weaver Hobart, and Chris Matthew Weaver of North Carolina are their two children. They have a son-in-law, Clarence Hobart.They have two grandchildren, Luke Hobart and Caroline Hobart of North Carolina.Sterling and Barbara have resided in Salisbury, N.C. for 30 years. Their son, Chris, also graduated from Appalachian State University the same day of their anniversary.
