The Keystone Senior Babe Ruth Baseball League began its 17th season on Monday, May 20.

Last season ended with the Pocono Mountain Outlaws defeating the Franklin Township Hurricanes to win their first ever league championship. The Outlaws will have the tough task of trying to repeat with a new manager and a league-low six returning players.Even though the league is down to only one division of 10 teams for the 2013 season it should be one of its most competitive seasons to date. The regular season ends on June 30 (all 10 teams will play a double round-robin 18-game schedule), and the playoffs will begin the first week of July.Later in July, the league is planning to put together for the first time in over a decade an All-Star team which will managed by Franklin Township Hurricanes' manager Ricky Strohl to play in the 2013 Pennsylvania State Sr. Babe Ruth League Tournament. The league will also showcase its best in the 11th annual All-Star Game at Franklin Township's Christman Memorial Field on Saturday June 15 at 6 p.m.For more information on the league, you can visit its website at
