Heritage Hill celebrates 94 years

Glen Robert Laudenslager, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, celebrated his 94th birthday on May 15.

Born in Lewistown, Pa. in 1919, Glen has also resided in Cape May, N.J., Colonia N.J., and Port Charlotte, Fla. over the years.After graduation from high school he worked at the American Viscose Corp., making rayon thread for use in clothing, stockings, etc.He spent three years in the Army Air Force and was stationed in Southern Italy as a radar mechanic. He also worked as a machine operator for 41 years in the Steel Mill.Glen married his wife, Rosetta Leona, on Dec. 23, 1939. They were married for 50 years until her passing.He is the proud father of two children, Kemper Lee Mahon, who died in 2011, and Deborah Ann Masperi of N.J. He is also the proud grandfather of four and great-grandfather of eight.Glen is currently involved in the Learn N Serve computer program at Heritage Hill. He is an avid reader, plays the organ, loves music, sports cars, swimming and fishing.
